Craft Preppy A Preppy DIY -How to Make Lilly Pulitzer Print Pencils!

Hi Prepperinas!  If you've seen my last two posts you would know I'm getting ready to go back to school!  I figured out a really easy way to make Lilly Pulitzer Print Pencils that are super cute and hard to loose!  I did them in prints that match my Binder Covers!

        Supplies
  •  Tacky Glue
  • Scissors
  • Printouts of whatever Lilly Pulitzer Prints you decide to use
  • Mechanical Pencils
  • A Paper Cutter

   Directions

  1.  Use your paper cutter to cut a small strip out of one of the Lilly Pulitzer Prints.  Put a small dot of Tacky Glue on it and spread it around with your finger.

  2.  Slide the paper under the clip of the Mechanical Pencil glue side facing up.  Slide it under enough so the right side of the paper evenly folds over the top of the clip.  Press this down.

  3.  Continue wrapping the left side of the paper over the clip until it covers the top of the clip.  Press this down and use your scissors to cut off the excess paper.  Press down the edge.

  4.  Repeat these steps with your other patterns and the rest of you pencils and then you have a super cute set of Lilly Pulitzer Pencils!

These pencils are so cute and hard to loose!  Hope you like them!

Preppy's Getting Ready for School! How I Organize My Binder!

Hi Prepperinas!  If you saw my previous post you would know that I made a set of Lilly Pulitzer Binder Covers for school!  Here is how I organize my binder using these binder covers!

Here is the Cover of my Binder!

That's not organization but it is really cute and my Binder won't get lost because my name's on the cover!

I organized my binder in the order of my classes.  Whatever class I have first, goes first.  In this case, it's Science.

Every class has a binder cover in a binder paper protector, followed by a folder, and some loose leaf.

My next class in Language Arts.  The folder helps keep worksheets and handouts organized and not interfering with my notes!

  After that comes Social Studies!

  Last is Math!

That's how I organize my Binder!  You can also use these binder covers as covers to notebooks or folders!

These binder covers are all downloadable here.

Preppy Loves Sperry's! A Sperry Top-Sider Angelfish Review!

Hi Prepperinas!  If you remember from my first Sperry Top-Sider Review I reviewed the Authentic Original's in Platinum Gold!  That was my first pair of Sperry's and I'm happy to report I still love them!  Since then I have gotten a new pair of Sperry's the Angelfish in Rose, Lavender, and Ivory Nubuck!  These are Tri-Color Sperry's and have mesh on the sides and at the top of the tongue of the shoe.  They are very cute and I absolutely adore them!

Sperry Top-Sider Angelfish in Rose, Lavender, and Ivory Nubuck

Price: $85

Sperry Top-sider  Women's Angelfish Slip-On Boat Shoe.

These shoes are SO CUTE and really comfortable!  These shoes have padded arch support and a padded heel cushion which makes them really good for walking around.

The Rose, Lavender, and Ivory are very cute together!  They definitely match a lot of the colors I usually wear like my Authentic Originals in Platinum.  The inside sole and bottom of the shoe are both Bright Pink which is a really cute feature!

Like my Authentic Originals I absolutely LOVED these shoes!  Check out Sperry Top-Sider at www.sperrytopsider.com!

Craft Preppy A Preppy DIY -How to Make the Perfect Chevron!

Hi Preperinas!!!  Of all people it's Preps who love Chevron the most!  I think we all know though how hard it is sometimes to hand draw a Chevron Pattern and get it evenly spaced.  Using this trick unevenly spaced Chevron will be a thing of the past!

Supplies

*Paper, Canvas, or whatever you wish to draw your Chevron on

*A Ruler

*A Pencil

*An Eraser

*Markers, Colored Pencils, Paint, or whatever you prefer

Directions

1.  With your paper, ruler, and pencil make little marks one inch apart all the way down the long side of the paper.

2.  LIGHTLY draw lines out from the little marks across the paper.  These lines should be the horizontal way.

3.  On the lines you just drew make more little marks one inch apart.  Do this on every line.

4.  Using your ruler connect the little marks you just made in a Zig Zag Pattern.  Start at the first line from the side at the bottom and go up to the nearest top mark and down to the nearest bottom mark.  Repeat this on the rest of the line and on every line.

5.  Erase the horizontal lines.  If it shouldn't be in a Chevron Pattern, Erase it.

6.  Fill in the Chevron Pattern with Marker or whatever Coloring Tool you chose.

7.  Enjoy your Chevron Pattern!

Variations and Ideas for this Project

*Make this on a Canvas and hang it up in your room!

*Alternate a Normal Color with Glitter!

*Make a Dresser Drawer Chevron!

*Make Cards with Chevron Pattern on the Front or Back!

I hope you all enjoy your new Chevron Pattern and this Post!

Love and Stay Preppy,
Eva
