Getting Nauti in Lilly Pulitzer Shorts

If there's any summer wardrobe essentials I can't live without, Lilly Pulitzer shorts, gold wedges, and white tops with the perfect details are at the top of that list. Those three items make it easy when I haven't the haziest as to what to wear I'm trying to run out the door because I'm already running late the who knows what.

Currently on Repeat: Week of July 23rd, 2017

If there's one thing I love about summer, it's my playlist. Since I haven't done a music update in a while, I figured I'd take a moment to share some of the songs that have been the soundtrack to my summer!

If you'd like to play all of this music nonstop {like I've been} click this link to play through this entire list on one nonstop playlist!

1. Mura Masa - Mura Masa {the entire album, but especially "What if I Go? featuring Bonzai"}
This album. Released just over a week ago, Mura Masa strikes again with the perfect chill EDM album and I've fallen in love.

2. "Slow Down Love featuring Chelsea Cutler" - Louis the Child
This is currently my most played song at the moment. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Louis the Child and although some of their most recent releases haven't been my favorite, this song is no disappointment.
"Slow it down, love, it's too bright out there | Out there | Hold on, love, you're walking thin air | Thin air"

I Don't Love Myself, but I'm Trying -- and Here's Why

It's a strange feeling to admit to yourself that you don't love yourself.

So often we look at ourselves in the mirror and critique. We pick ourselves apart citing any reason we possibly can find as to why we look less than perfect: our waist, the length of our hair, our dark circles, our eyebrows. Maybe it's all at once, maybe it's just spread out, but for me, I never realized just how often I do until I started thinking about it, because it's constant, and I don't actually think I can look at myself in a mirror without finding a plethora of things that I just don't like about myself.

So often, we look back at past conversations and things we did and just ask ourselves "why?" Why couldn't we have been better, why couldn't we have been less awkward, why didn't the other person like us as much as we liked them, why did he leave me on "opened" or "read," why didn't we get the promotion instead of the other person, the list goes on.

So often, the answer to all of those questions is "us." We're convinced that we were left on read or didn't catch someone's interest because we are the problem.

Travel Hacks: Why Jewelry Rolls Are a Travel Must with Shorebags

Too many times when traveling I've opened up my bag to find one of the most tedious problems possible: my necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc. playing some sort of version of Twister meets Tetris meets a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

I've tried several solutions: keeping jewelry in it's separate dust bags, wrapping or folding it different ways, and even tying it up with ribbon, to name a few. Somehow none of my DIY solutions managed to hold up to luggage being tossed around in airplanes or in car trunks. Even though I knew jewelry rolls existed, I was never quite a believer that I'd be able to fit all my jewelry in one or that it wouldn't take too much space in my suitcase.

S'well Bottle Review

A couple months ago, if someone asked if I'd ever pay $40 for a water bottle I would've laughed. Sure, I know not all bottle is build equally and it's important to make sure you're not buying something with BPA in it and all of that stuff, but $40 when I could get a perfectly fine Camelbak or Nalgene for under $20? No thank you.

Then, of course, Lilly Pulitzer went and collaborated with Starbucks to release a 4 style line of S'well bottles and after seeing how cute they were, I had to have one. After 5 states and over 14 Starbucks, my friend in San Francisco on a chance happening managed to find one for me and I found myself handing over $40 for the bottle.

Change

At some point in my life I learned that change can be good,

Change is necessary,

and in this case, change is happening right now.

Last Minute Fourth of July Style

If there's anything that I'm *really* good at when it comes to holidays, it's not knowing what I'm wearing for them until last possible moment
