Change

At some point in my life I learned that change can be good,

Change is necessary,

and in this case, change is happening right now.

This was me in 8th grade, the year I started TPB.

This is me now, 4.5 years later.

  I feel like I've said it a million times, but when I was first starting, I had absolutely no idea the opportunities that blogging could give me. Since then, I've been so lucky to have gotten more than I could've ever dreamed of. What originally started as my 14 year old self just wanting to get ideas on "paper" and who couldn't even have imagined having 100 people read what she was writing, much less 100,000 has turned into so much more.

  That being said, as we grow, we change. When I started blogging, I was Eva Phan -- stock photo shopping haul writer, occasional leotard reviewer, and wish list maker. Now, I'm Eva Phan -- style, travel, and lifestyle blogger for the classic girl in an ever modern world. My style has changed from cutesy-girly preppy to mainly classic with a twist and old school prep, but ever so often *gasp* trend.

  I'm still a dancer, and to be completely honest, I think I'll probably always be a dancer, but growing up I was always defined as "Eva, she's a dancer" or "The dancer, Eva" instead of "This is Eva, she's {insert adjective here}." Somewhere along the line my identity got lost and replaced with a career. Don't get me wrong, I love ballet, there's a reason I've stuck with it for 15 years, but it's a weird feeling to examine who you are and realize that you're known to everyone as being a dancer rather than an actual person who's fun to be around. Or that you're known for being a dancer, but that any other interests somehow fall short to this one paramount thing in your life. Eventually, it becomes evident that the only thing people really seem to find interesting about you is that you spend an abnormal amount of time in a room lined with bars and having minimal natural light. Over the last year in particular, I've been working to regain my identity as a person again, and I think that what I'm about to say is just one of the final steps to doing that.

The Preppy Ballerina is becoming Eva Darling

{Oh and I'm moving from Blogger to Wordpress.org, but that's slightly less exciting}

  It's time for a change and I honestly couldn't be more excited for this one these two.

  So hello, and welcome to Eva Darling!

 Allow me to introduce myself: Hi, I'm Eva. Sometimes I act like a normal 18 year old, but most of the time I act more like I'm 28. I'd like to think that I'm witty and clever when really my friends would say that I'm more just downright sarcastic. I'm absolutely not a morning person and you can find me still laying in bed awake at 5 am because I just haven't gone to sleep yet {it's 5:03 as I'm currently typing this}. I'm attending Parsons School of Design at the New School in New York this fall as a fashion design major with the intent of minoring in political science or journalism. Afterwards, I plan on pursuing a MBA, starting my career, and eventually starting my own collection. I can't wear black without looking absolutely ridiculous and I refuse to wear leggings in public if I'm not headed to ballet or yoga. Speaking of which, I'm also a ballet dancer who would like to freelance while at school in New York. I'm a vegetarian, but I also can't cook for the life of me. I'm the blogger behind Eva Darling and the owner of Eva Phan Collection, Eva Kim Designs, and Eva Active.

  There are amazing things ahead and I can't wait to get out and conquer them. Hopefully you all will continue following along on this wild thing I call life.

One last time for old time's sake:
Love and Stay Preppy,
Eva

  1. These swell bottles are a great alternative for those stainless steel bottles which I have got so bored of. The reviews I have read here are forcing me to buy it.
