Currently on Repeat: Week of July 23rd, 2017

If there's one thing I love about summer, it's my playlist. Since I haven't done a music update in a while, I figured I'd take a moment to share some of the songs that have been the soundtrack to my summer!

If you'd like to play all of this music nonstop {like I've been} click this link to play through this entire list on one nonstop playlist!

1. Mura Masa - Mura Masa {the entire album, but especially "What if I Go? featuring Bonzai"}
This album. Released just over a week ago, Mura Masa strikes again with the perfect chill EDM album and I've fallen in love.

2. "Slow Down Love featuring Chelsea Cutler" - Louis the Child
This is currently my most played song at the moment. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Louis the Child and although some of their most recent releases haven't been my favorite, this song is no disappointment.
"Slow it down, love, it's too bright out there | Out there | Hold on, love, you're walking thin air | Thin air"

3. "Beware featuring Jhene Aiko and Lil Wayne" - Big Sean
Somehow I managed to be the latest to this song {which came out in 2013}, but since discovering it a couple weeks ago I've been singing along nonstop
"Cause girls only say 'I hate you' to the guys that they love"

4.  "Sorry Not Sorry" - Demi Lovato
THIS is the breakup song of the summer, and you know it from the minute it starts with this opening line:
"Now I'm out here looking revenge | Feelin' like a ten, the best I've ever been | And yeah, I know how bad it must hurt | To see me like this, but it gets worse

5. "Praying" - Kesha
After a high controversy legal battle, Kesha's back with this absolutely beautiful and unbelievably powerful song
"'Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell | I had to learn how to fight for myself | And we both know all the truth I could tell | I'll just say this is I wish you farewell"

6. "Know No Better featuring Travis Scott and Camila Cabello" - Major Lazer
"Yeah, you know no better | Say you different, who you kidding?"

7. "I Have Questions" - Camila Cabello
Ever since Camila Cabello's exit from Fifth Harmony she's come back with some of my current favorite songs and collaborations {example: see above}. So yes, another ballad makes the list
"Number one, tell me who you think you are | You got some nerve trying to tear my faith apart"

8. "Say Less featuring G-Eazy" - Dillon Francis
An unexpected collaboration and a unique song that somehow unexpectedly works. Unexpectedly.
"Don't spill on me that's Margiela"

9. "Research featuring Ariana Grande" - Big Sean
I don't know what's been up with me and all of this older Big Sean lately, but when it's this catchy, I'm really not mad about it.
"I swear she like, 'this piece of hair off in the sink ain't come from me first, no, no.'"

10. "Wait on Me" - Rixton
"Wait on me, I know how to love you | And I wanna love you some more"

11. "Nights With You" - MØ
This is the windows down scream-singing with your friends type of song. In an interview, MØ stated that she wrote the song with her best friend in mind, and you can tell from the lyrics that's definitely a "girls' night" type of song.
"I'll take you out tonight | Don't care about your boyfriend waking up alone"

12. "do re mi" - Blackbear
I'd quote the chorus as a reason you have to listen to this song, but it's such a fun play on words that you just need to listen to it for yourself.

13. "Sadboy" - Naaz
This song manages to combine jazz influences, light EDM influences, and light trap, into a song that's chill yet upbeat and incredibly easy to sing along to.
"I will | Heal you more than time will | Chaos in your mind still | Let me take it back?"

14. "Breathe -Lauv Remix" - Astrid S
Recommended to me by fellow blogger, Diary of a Dirty Blonde, this upbeat remix is the perfect carefree summer anthem!
"Got me lifted like an astronaut | No helmet on and my lungs just stop"
